Book: The Fountain of Light Vol 1 by His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa

The Fountain of Light is a series of reflections from His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa, aiming to make us Fountains of the Holy Spirit.

Originally released in 2017 under the title ‘Fountain of Life,’ this book is a translation of eight sermons given in Greek between the period of 15 January and 30 April in the year 2017 while His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa was Abbot of the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Saint John in Perth, Western Australia.

The second edition of this book, published in 2024, forms Volume One of a newly titled and ongoing collection called ‘The Fountain of Light,’ which seeks to illuminate the messages contained in the Holy Gospel readings of our Church. We offer in this new edition of Volume One an updated transcription that, where we thought it necessary, further clarifies the meaning of the original translation. This book includes His Grace's reflections on the Ten Lepers, the Canaanite Woman, Cheesefare Sunday, Sunday of the Paralytic, Sunday of the Holy Cross, Sunday of the Demon Possessed, Sunday of Thomas and Sunday of the Myrrh Bearing Women.
